It’s the holiday season! Wow-zers, time has flown! I can’t believe that we are less than one week away from Christmas. I always find that it’s the countdown to Christmas that I like best, not necessarily the day itself. Do any of you feel that way, too?
Anyways, with the holidays looming ahead and your days filled with work, life, spending time with loved ones, and last minute shopping, you might be struggling with finding time to exercise. Considering how the month of December is generally the month where most of our homes are filled with an abundance of home baked goods and holiday sweets, it’s extra important for us to ensure that physical activity is not sidelined.
For those of us struggling to find time to exercise, here are 7 simple ways we can increase the amount of physical activity we do in our every day lives to burn off those extra calories.
One thing I forgot to include in the list below is that when you go out with friends, find places where you can stroll together instead of just sitting. Outdoor shopping centers or your city’s downtown are generally great places to catch up with friends and stay moving.
Very simple, right? I know that when we’re out grocery shopping or holiday shopping, we tend to be in a rush and don’t want to park farther away. Well, if you’re parked farther away and want to save time, you’ll just have to walk faster and that’ll mean that you’ll be burning even more calories! Mind blowing revelation? Probably not, but it’s still something for you to consider.
Anyways, Happy Holidays and stay happy and healthy, y’all! Until the next post…I’ll try not to be gone for too long.
