It’s 2020! I’m not a huge fan of making resolutions. I kind of just set goals as I go and work towards them. One of my ongoing goals is to reduce the amount of waste my husband and I produce.
I want to encourage all of you to make waste reduction one of your ongoing goals as well. Or, if you do make New Year’s resolutions, you should make it one of your resolutions. Reducing the amount of waste you produce will not only benefit our Earth, but also your and your family’s overall well-being. It’s important for all of us to understand that a healthy Earth = a healthy us!
Below, find a simple guide to reducing waste in your household.
SIDE NOTE:
If you don’t want your old electronics anymore and they are too broken to be donated, DO NOT just toss them into your garbage.
Electronics may contain hazardous materials and are therefore hazardous wastes and should not be going into landfills. Search for a local E-waste center or electronic recycling center if you can’t donate/use them.
Let’s dispose unwanted items responsibly!
Happy New Year! Stay happy and healthy, y’all!
